Tosky Showcases Sound- and Vibration-Based Manufacturing AI Technology on YTN Science’s “Leading Companies”

Early detection of defects and anomalies in mold component manufacturing Advancing quality control through multisensor data and cloud-based monitoring

Tosky (CEO Yoo Byung-kwon), a company specializing in AI solutions, showcased its sound- and vibration-based manufacturing quality control technology on YTN Science’s program “Leading Companies.”

The episode, which aired on November 22, 2025, highlighted an industrial application of AI designed to address defects in mold component manufacturing that are difficult to identify through visual inspection or conventional testing methods. Tosky participated as a development partner for the AI-powered defect detection system, demonstrating technology that analyzes sound and vibration data collected during manufacturing to detect early signs of product defects and equipment anomalies.

Production equipment generates consistent sound and vibration patterns under normal operating conditions. When wear, damage, or microscopic defects occur, subtle changes can appear in these patterns. Tosky’s industrial quality control solution, “InnerScan AI,” collects and analyzes these variations in real time to detect anomalies that may not be visible to the human eye. This enables manufacturers to respond before defective products advance to subsequent stages of production.

The solution also provides a cloud-based monitoring environment that allows production equipment status and process data to be viewed in real time. Through an integrated dashboard, operators can monitor equipment conditions and quality data and respond quickly when abnormal signals are detected. This supports a shift from conventional quality control—which often relies heavily on workers’ experience and post-production inspections—to proactive, data-driven quality management.

The technology can be applied across a wide range of manufacturing sectors, including mold and automotive component production, semiconductors and electronics, metal processing, steel manufacturing, and logistics automation equipment. By utilizing data generated by existing production facilities, the solution is expected to support the digital transformation and AI transformation of manufacturing sites effectively.

“Sound and vibration generated on the manufacturing floor contain valuable information about the condition of products and equipment,” a Tosky representative said. “We will continue to advance our manufacturing AI technology so that it can identify subtle changes at an early stage, prevent defects, and improve both quality competitiveness and production efficiency.”

YTN Science’s “Leading Companies” is a program that introduces Korean companies and industrial sites distinguished by innovative technologies and competitive capabilities. The episode highlighted the convergence of manufacturing and AI by presenting collaborative cases involving Tosky, other AI developers, and manufacturing companies.
